In this tutorial Cal takes you through the basics of using Maya. An introduction into using this versatile software package. Cal takes a simple hammer concepts and builds it step by step in 3d. You will learn how to navigate and the process of building a hammer using "polygon" modeling techniques. The actual Maya file is included. You can easily build a physical part using a "Makerbot®" 3D printer. As this is an introduction into using Maya, No existing understanding of Maya is needed. **This tutorial does not include how to render the hammer.
